Conference Joining Instructions

On Arrival

  • Training Day Attendees
    • There will be University helpers at the entrance - they will direct you to the reigstration desk to collect your lanyards. 
    • Luggage storage is available
  • Conference Delegates
    • There will be University helpers at the entrance - they will direct you to the reigstration desk to collect your lanyards. 
      Luggage storage is available Monday and Tuesday
  • Exhibition Attendees
    • There will be University helpers at the entrance - they will direct you to the reigstration desk to register and collect a lanyard.

Training Day

Mon 16 June

For those who are booked on the schoms AVIXA Training Day commencing 13:30, this will be held at the Ulster University, BC-02-308. Registration from 12:00 at Reception.

  • Mon 16 June 12:00-13:30 - Before Training Day at Reception.
  • Mon 16 June 19:00 onwards - Start of the Welcome Event.
  • Tue 17 June  08:30 - 09:00 - Prior to Conference Start.

Accommodation

Delegates will enjoy accommodation at the Premier Inn, Belfast City Cathedral Quarter. A short 10 minute walk from the conference venue.

Cancellation and Non-Attendance

If you are no longer able to attend, please let us know as soon as possible. No Shows will be charged the full delegate fee. Should you have any queries prior to the conference, please contact schoms at [email protected].

We’ve set-up a way to share your travel plans and buddy up for journeys, using Caroster.

You can join the schoms conference 2025 Caroster.io group for Schoms:

  • Create an account
  • If you are booking a taxi, click “+ Add a Trip”
  • Fill in the information:Name your trip “e.g. Taxi with John to Ulster Uni”
    • Enter a contact number for members to contact you
    • Choose number of passenger seats based on the taxi/vehicle you book
    • Date and time of departure
    • Where to meet e.g. “Belfast City Airport”
    • Any other information you want to ad
    • Click Add
    • If you are in a taxi, assign yourself to the trip as a passenger
    • Book your taxi as normal.

Delegates and Partners Welcome Evening - Mon 16 June

For those who have opted to arrive on Monday, we have a welcome drinks and food reception arranged at The Black Horse. Outside dining will be available weather permitting. Dress code for the willing, "The Brighter the Better" 

Meet at Hotel Reception 18:30 for the short walk to the venue.

This will be an opportunity to meet our Partners and delegates before the conference gets underway.

Conference Transport

With conference taking place as a campus based event this year transport to and from the accommodation and conference venue is not required. Accommodation is a short walk to the venue.

Return transport is provided for the Conference Conference Dinner and the Sponsored Dinner.

Wifi Access for HE 

Attendees can enjoy eduroam coverage across campus and the accommodation.

Schoms Partner Exhibition

Venue: Ulster University (McCracken Building)

38 companies will be exhibiting this year. Details of the exhibitors are on the Partners Page of the Schoms website. . 

Please ensure you spend time at the exhibition and visit as many stands as possible.

Please note that a photographer will be present at various times throughout the event and the sessions are being recorded.  This may result in the recording and publication of your image.

Please advise us at conference registration if you do not wish to be included in the photographs / videos.

Schoms Conference Dinner

TUE 17 June 2025

The schoms Conference dinner will take place at the Game of Throne Experience.

Transport to and from the venue will be provided.
