The Future of Listening is Here
Craig Davey - Ampetronic, Business Development Manager
Craig Davey is a Business Development Manager at Ampetronic | Listen Technologies, where he plays a key role in advancing the adoption of innovative assistive listening solutions. With a strong focus on accessibility and cutting-edge audio technology, Craig is a leading advocate for inclusive sound experiences. He recently showcased Auri™, powered by Ampetronic and Listen Technologies—the first Auracast™ broadcast audio based solution for assistive listening—at ISE 2025. His work supports the integration of high quality, low-latency audio systems across diverse environments, from public venues to educational institutions, enhancing communication access for individuals with hearing loss.
Session Synopsis
This presentation explores the rapidly evolving landscape of assistive listening technologies and their essential role in creating accessible environments for individuals with hearing loss. It examines the limitations of traditional hearing aids in complex acoustic settings and highlights how assistive listening systems—such as induction loops, infrared, RF, and Wi-Fi—bridge that gap. A central focus is Auri™, a comprehensive Auracast™-based solution designed to deliver high-quality, low-latency audio directly to compatible hearing aids, earbuds, and receivers. Auri™ sets a new standard in inclusive audio, offering scalable, network-managed broadcast capabilities that meet global accessibility requirements. Attendees will gain practical insights into legal obligations, system design, and real-world applications across public venues, educational institutions, and service environments—empowering them to implement solutions that ensure equitable access to sound for all.
Three Learning Objectives
Identify the Core Challenges in Hearing Accessibility
Participants will be able to describe the limitations of hearing aids in public and acoustically challenging environments and explain the role of assistive listening systems in overcoming these barriers.
Evaluate Assistive Listening Technologies and Standards
Participants will gain the ability to compare current assistive listening technologies—including induction loops, infrared, RF, Wi-Fi, and Auracast™—and understand how international standards like IEC 60118-4 guide system performance and compliance.
Implement Inclusive Audio Solutions Using Auracast™
Participants will learn how to specify and deploy Auri™, a complete Auracast™ solution, in real-world environments to meet legal obligations and deliver equitable, high-quality audio access for all users.

Lost in Translation: Making sense of AV needs before it’s too late
Daniel Lee - Hewshott, Managing Director &
Asha Northway - Hewshott - Business Development Manager
Session Synopsis
Capturing AV requirements isn’t about ticking boxes; it’s about translating messy, and often conflicting, human needs into clear, deliverable outcomes. In this interactive session, you’ll explore why discovery is the most critical stage of any AV project, particularly in complex HE environments. Through real-world examples, practical frameworks, and group activity, we’ll show how to avoid delivering the wrong thing really well — and how to build trust, clarity, and alignment from day one.
Learning Objectives
Understand how and why AV requirements gathering often fails — and learn practical strategies to avoid common traps like assumptions, vague language, and overlooked stakeholders.
Learn how to use stakeholder mapping, structured interviews, and RACI to build a robust discovery process that supports clarity, accountability, and change management.
Gain tools to demonstrate traceability and alignment between requirements, design, and outcomes — turning vague requests into defensible, verifiable delivery.

Daniel Lee is Managing Director of Hewshott in Europe. He has been in AV forever, across many different roles, and is passionate about not just delivering technology but delivering the right technology!

Asha Northway is a Business Development Manager for Hewshott, responsible for aligning end user organisation with the right Hewshott team and resource to achieve outstanding outcomes.
