Bookings for the Annual Conference 2018 are now open.
The conference will commence at 9.00am on Tuesday 22nd May and conclude with lunch on Thursday 24th May, and in response to membership feedback, a one day elective AVIXA training session has also been arranged on Monday 21st May
The SCHOMS Annual Conference provides an excellent opportunity to network with likeminded professionals and we have created an engaging programme which includes a range of national and international speakers;
• Keynotes Dr Robina Chatham on Developing Personal Power and giving insights into how to raise your effectiveness in your Institution and Jon Moon who is a leading authority on Clarity and Impact.
• From a pedagogical perspective Dr Ross Parry, Deputy Pro-Vice-Chancellor will present on the Digital Campus
• Valuable members presentations from Christchurch University, University of Hong Kong, University of Northampton and Swinburne University of Technology, Melbourne.
• The exhibition will enable sponsors to showcase their products and services and will follow a collaborative supplier-delegate workshop.
In the truly historic city of York evening events have been arranged at the eminent Hospitium and the SCHOMS hosted dinner will be held at the famous National Railway Museum.
The delegate fee remains the same at £300 (no VAT applicable) and includes Bed and Breakfast accommodation on Tuesday and Wednesday (plus Monday, if required) at the Park Inn in York city centre. The fee also includes transport from the hotel to the conference venues, refreshments and meals so represents tremendous value for money. We welcome our overseas Associate members and the delegate fee from these institutions will be £495.
To enable representation from as many HEIs, places are limited to two per institution and will be allocated on a first come first served basis, so please book early to secure your place.
The conference promises to be a fantastic opportunity to share good practice, network and keep abreast of the latest developments in the sector. Philip Stewart and his team in York, the Exec and myself look forward to seeing you in there.
