Wikipedia. YouTube. Google Translate. Even the Graphing Calculator. These tools disrupted the status quo for instruction, with academia recoiling in fear. ChatGPT 3.5's release in late 2022 disrupted academia just like the pandemic did - forcing faculty to look at their learning objectives and how they were teaching again. Generative AI (like ChatGPT) is a tool that is out in the world -  students, faculty and we as AV/IT professionals all have access to it so in order to be able to use this tool we have to understand its limitations and address effective, efficient and ethical usage of it in our classrooms. Join the ETC Instructional Design Interest Group on Thursday, February 22 at 2 pm ET for the third installment of our Exploring AI in Higher Education series.

A small panel of students who have taken classes that encouraged the use of GAI will be available to answer questions about their usage of ChatGPT or Midjourney during the latter half of the hour.

You do not need to be a member of ETC to register. Forward this email to your colleagues and peers who might also benefit from this valuable conversation.

Our Vision: To provide strategic direction in the development and support of learning environments, systems, associated technologies, and professionals.
